My work is a visual exploration of a place that exists beyond what my eyes can see.  In this constructed space I explore ideas of nostalgia and personal history and how these relate to buildings and space.  Notions of home, alienation and belonging are addressed through nostalgic objects: chandeliers, frames and mirrors that are found in baroque spaces.  Abandoned and derelict buildings are also sites of exploration as they act as time capsules, pointing us to the past and an emptiness that the fullness of opulence tries to make us forget.
