My practice works across a range of platforms including painting, drawing, textile and installation. Strips of painting and textiles, combined with patchworked objects are used to create drawings in space, forcing ambiguity between language and structures.

I’m interested in the physicality that surrounds work, both in the studio as an artist and in the personal lives of family and friends. The installations and drawings are often amalgamations of abstract and concrete language, bringing together contrasts in material, craft and ideals of labour.

Playing with environments of the everyday I use assemblage to mix both raw and seductive aesthetics to create a space in both drawing and environment. Through different movements, both staged and genuine, suggestions of human activity and interaction are weaved throughout the work.
