MUSHROOMS LIKE LACE has been particularly informed by nature documentaries, exploring psychological landscapes, and the possibility of communing with materials.

Sprawling and theatrical, the work seems to be the aftermath of some kind of event or performance. The left detritus is intended to be energetic and playful and allow for multiple suggestions or readings. The forms appear to be in a state of emerging or dissolving, growing and dying. Varying surfaces and textures open avenues for interpretation and provide visual motifs that allude to the physical actions of mark making, natural and man-made environments, and the constant struggle between chaos and order.
