Anouk Verviers

Anouk Verviers is an MFA candidate at Goldsmiths (London UK) and holds a BA in visual and media arts from UQAM (Montréal, CA un-ceded territories of Tiohtià:ke and Mooniyang). Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions, artist residencies, and community projects in Canada, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

“Relying on nonsystematic processes, I research and immerse myself in places, narratives, institutions, or systems by sharing moments with those inhabiting and experiencing them. I aim to deeply listen and care for these personal stories as I believe they stand on a path toward addressing collective narratives, memories, identities, and choices. Through an interdisciplinary practice, I blend experiential knowledge with intuitive processes, transcending my own apriori. Using woodwork, ceramic, drawing, archives, everyday materials, my body, and a camera, I work on installations, videos, sound pieces, performances, and sculptures.”
