In September 2007 I was awarded the Studio Bursary Award from Chelsea Arts Club and Kensington and Chelsea Borough Council, providing me with a free studio and financial assistance for three years. As a fledging young artist, fresh out of art school it came at the most crucial time and gave me the opportunity and means to dedicate myself entirely to making work and to focus only on exhibitions. Over the past two years I have truly taken advantage of this opportunity and have worked incredibly hard. I have had my first solo exhibitions in London, on the South Coast, New York and Holland. It really has proved to be the most marvellous award and I definitely could not have undertaken all that I have without it, so thank you very much to all involved!
